On the 9th and final day we took to the water again.

A magnificently beautiful looking blue cod was caught, cooked over coals and eaten as cutlets with miso sauce and nori paper. 

And then it was all over.

Three sea-kayaking novices had paddled from the D'Entrecasteaux Channel to Maria Island.

The beginning had well and truely begun.
