We found more sea caves along the northern section of Maria Island.

This sea cave remains my favourite - to this day.

To our unexpected delight it had a long and deep chamber ...

... that connected up to a second cave entrance further along the cliff line.

To paddle through a mountain of rock  like this is a special experience.
The shafts of sunlight cut deep into the cold black sea water. The water is sucking in and out like a mouth drawing a drink from the sea. The rise of the swell makes the cave itself breath like a set of lungs. It all seems alive.
