The journey continues ...

After a good night's wine-induced sleep we woke to see that a possum had skillfully lifted a hatch cover and stolen all of our sausages. Not to matter, the sea is full of fish.

We packed up and paddled east, arriving at the spectacular geological formation called "La Pyramide" which stands like a sentinel at the southernmost tip of Maria Island.

Many of the place names along this coast derive from the French explorers of the late 1700's -including from the adventuring vessels of Bruny D'Entrecasteaux and the Freycinet brothers.

Paddling through this gap all of our fishing lines went beserk. We had replaced our sausages in an instant.
